WoW bathroom!

WoW, I think I'm speechless over this picture. This bathroom is just amazing, the tub is made out of wood and created by an Italian craftsman. Like I said, WoW.

Home sweet home

Today I photographed at this beautiful house in Huizen. This 100% recycling house close to Amsterdam was build by a young group of nonconformist Dutch architects, a 100% green house, nestled in nature with humor and imagination.

The best parties ever

I really enjoyed reading this article in Net-A-Porter's online magazine about the best parties ever. I wish I had been to them all but if I really have to choose.... Studio 54's New Year's Eve party1977-1978!

On January 23, 2013 iNDiViDUALS will open Amsterdam Fashion Week for the first time ever with the new A/W 13-14 collection, ELEMENT. This will mark an impressive milestone within the continuing iNDiViDUALS story.

iNDiViDUALS is a platform for fashion creativity. It features a changing collective of young creatives that contribute their own chapter to a continuing fashion story. A seasonal collection is produced and presented in selected stores throughout the Benelux.

iNDiViDUALS is an initiative of AMFI - Amsterdam Fashion Institute and the Hogeschool van Amsterdam.

Their  autumn/winter 2012 collection was a great succes so we can't wait to see the new show & designs.

Mr & Mrs White

Mr & Mrs White are a lovely young couple passionate about the home and everything that goes in it. Mr White makes the furniture and Mrs White makes the textiles. They are all about simple, honest, handmade design with a focus on the natural beauty of the material whether it be recycled timber, linen or leather. On their blog you will find all the things that they make, that other people make and anything else that inspires us to do what we do. Don't forget to visit the shop!

Love his crazy, funny designs. So if you are in Amsterdam these days, don't forget to bring a visit a buy yourself a 'dick legging'.

And if you are there you might as well get yourself a great haircut!

I got inspired by a picture of a porcelain Chinese lidded jar from Wisteria, which reminded me that I am a big fan of Dutch Delftware (or porcelain in general...) So I put together a moodboard, hope you like it. Happy Friday! :)

Spotted on the latest Elle Decoration UK this modern nomad Danish house exhibits a colorful and unique mix of global finds. Call it ethnic chic, perfect/imperfect style at its best. I love this space!

Privat 0204

I absolutely fell in love with Private 0204. They produce beautiful hand made vintage hemp kilim rugs with a 'wash-wash' finish. They are all unique, of course being vintage and come from the Anatolian Plateau in Turkey. They have them washed in the sea and then dried on the beach and re-vitalised. The result is just stunning, a worn out look, which could be perfect in so many interiors.Easy mix with 'industrial/urban' furniture, perfect with mid century modern pieces, even with some antique pieces.

More than the look, it was the feel that really got me, really soft and supple, great texture. Being a major fan of linen, these are like an over-sized type. Heaven!!
